One Ph.D. and one postdoctoral position in molecular parasitology
Laboratory of Trypanosomatid Biology invites enthusiastic highly motivated students
and postdocs with a strong background in biochemistry, molecular biology, and genomics to apply. The actual start date can be negotiated
individually, but the Ph.D. student is expected to start on September 1, 2024.
The successful candidate will also have a chance to get involved in other on-going projects in the laboratory, such as those addressing
comprehensive genomics of Trypanosomatidae, evolutionary biology of parasitism, viral and endosymbiotic bacteria maintenance, or mechanisms
of translation in these fascinating flagellates. Laboratory of Trypanosomatid Biology is well equipped and provides excellent conditions for research. The successful candidate will work in an international
team of friendly and talented people, in which collaboration is strongly encouraged.
Requirement: fluent English, ability to work in a team, enthusiasm. Advanced skills in omics analyses or molecular biology would be a plus.
- Project 1: telomeres of trypanosomatids
- Project 2: Leishmania virulence factors and molecular tool-box
